The Queensland Yearly Tournament Prize is awarded to the Player who earns the most points during the year.
(Note - It was decided to discontinue the club competition in the 2024 AGM)

The year begins with the start of the 2024 Queensland Championship (17th August 2024) and ends before the commencement of 2025 Queensland Championship (16th August 2025)

Any rated tournament worldwide is eligible to be counted.
Players who play overseas should advise Paul Richards so the results can be included in Tournament Prize count.

Point System

10 Points - Winner in any Section or Rating Band in the Tournament
8 Points - Second placed in any Section or Rating Band in the Tournament
6 Points - Third placed in any Section or Rating Band in the Tournament
4 Points - Fourth placed in any Section or Rating Band in the Tournament
3 Points - Fifth placed in any Section or Rating Band in the Tournament
1 Point - Any player taking part in a rated tournament

10 Points - Novice player (never played in a rated tournament before)
5 Points - Provisionally Rated Player (played less than 50 games)

Only one set of points can be allocated in each tournament
The highest value points are allocated to the player.
For example, a Provisional player who comes fifth is given 5 points
A provisional player who comes second is given 8 points
